About HeicSave

HeicSave is a free browser-local image toolkit for iPhone photos and modern web formats — built for privacy, speed, and real-world sharing workflows.

Last updated: June 16, 2026

How we're different

Private by design

Conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers for processing.

No account required

No signup, no watermark, and no paid tier for basic conversion. Open a tool and convert immediately.

Practical features

Batch convert, ZIP download, JPEG/WebP quality sliders, and EXIF preservation on HEIC→JPG when your browser allows it.

Why we built HeicSave

Most "free converters" upload your photos to a server you do not control. We wanted the opposite: HEIC, WebP, and AVIF tools that decode on your device with WebAssembly and Canvas — private, fast, and free without an account.

HeicSave is operated by an independent team publishing at heicsave.com. We are not affiliated with Apple, Google, Microsoft, or Adobe. Real people read [email protected] and update guides when software changes.

Editorial standards

HeicSave publishes original guides and tool documentation—not generic SEO filler. Every article is tested on real devices before we link it from tool pages or the blog index.

  • Original testing

Workflows are verified on physical Windows and Mac hardware with Chrome and Edge. We do not copy steps from forums without re-testing.

  • Depth over volume

Long guides include batch sizes, file-size expectations, troubleshooting tables, and screenshots where they help—see our batch HEIC and portal upload guides.

  • Corrections with dates

When Apple, Microsoft, or Adobe changes behavior, we update the article and show a revised date at the top. Report errors via Contact—we read [email protected].

  • No scraped content

We do not republish third-party manuals, auto-translate competitor pages, or spin duplicate tool landing copy.

How we test before publishing

Typical environments for guide verification in 2026:

EnvironmentUsed for
Windows 11 24H2 · ChromeHEIC batch convert, compress-jpg portal limits, DevTools zero-upload checks
Windows 11 · EdgeFallback HEIC decode and strip-exif mixed batches
iPhone iOS 18 · USB to WindowsTransfer settings, HEIC→JPG handoff, marketplace EXIF scenarios

Blog posts show a HeicSave team byline linking here. Major guide updates get a new “Last updated” line in the article and an entry in the site changelog above.

HeicSave is funded by Google AdSense (with consent) and optional analytics. Ads and stats never receive your image bytes—conversion stays in your browser tab, separate from monetization.

Site updates

We ship tool improvements and new guides regularly. Recent milestones:

  • June 2026 — Editorial standards section on About; portal JPG compress and marketplace EXIF guides; utility tool comparison tables.
  • June 2026 — Compress JPG scene presets, batch HEIC workflow guide, HeicSave team bylines on blog posts.
  • May 2026 — Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Outlook guides; full German and French site translation.

More about HeicSave

HeicSave is a free online image conversion site at heicsave.com. We help iPhone users turn HEIC photos into JPG or PNG, and help developers convert WebP and AVIF when older apps or email clients cannot open modern formats.

Who we serve

Our primary audience is people in the United States and Europe who receive HEIC files from iPhones and need JPG for Windows PCs, email, forms, and print. We also publish guides for WebP and AVIF workflows used on modern websites.

How we make money

HeicSave is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) and may use privacy-friendly analytics with your consent. We do not sell your image files—ads and analytics are separate from conversion, which stays on your device.

Who operates HeicSave

HeicSave is published by an independent team at heicsave.com. We are not affiliated with Apple, Google, Microsoft, or Adobe. The site is maintained by real humans who read Contact email and update guides when Windows, iPhone, or Adobe software changes.

Why we built this

Cloud upload converters send your photos to servers you cannot audit. We built browser-local tools so your images never leave your device for conversion—aligned with GDPR expectations in Europe and privacy-conscious users everywhere.

Editorial content

We maintain a blog with original guides on HEIC, WebP, AVIF, JPG utilities, and browser-local privacy. Articles are written for real workflows—batch iPhone exports, Outlook attachments, portal upload limits, marketplace EXIF—not generic SEO filler.

Our full editorial standards cover how we test, update, and fund the site separately from conversion.
